Privacy Policy

Overview
GenerativeUI is a content and tooling platform for engineers and technical leaders building AI-powered interfaces. It is operated by a solo engineer as an independent project.
This policy explains what data is collected when you visit or interact with GenerativeUI, how it is used, and what rights you have over your information. The short version: we collect the minimum data necessary to operate the site, we do not sell or share it, and you can request deletion at any time.
Data We Collect
Information you provide
We collect information you submit directly through the site:
- Newsletter subscriptions — your email address when you sign up for the newsletter. No name is required.
- Contact and service inquiries — your name, email address, and any message content you include when submitting a contact or consultation request.
Information collected automatically
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Plausible is a privacy-first analytics tool that is fully GDPR compliant. It collects:
- Page URL visited
- HTTP referrer (the page that linked to us)
- Browser type and operating system (aggregated, not fingerprinted)
- Country of origin (derived from IP; IP address itself is not stored)
Our hosting provider also retains standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, resource requested) for a short period as part of normal infrastructure operation.
What we do NOT collect
- No cookies are set by this site
- No tracking pixels or cross-site tracking scripts
- No third-party advertising tags
- No persistent device fingerprinting
- No data is sold to or shared with data brokers
How We Use Your Data
Information collected is used only for the following purposes:
- Newsletter — to send bi-weekly issues to subscribers who have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
- Contact inquiries — to respond to your message or consultation request via email.
- Site analytics — to understand which content and tools are useful so we can improve them. Analytics data is never used for advertising or profiling.
- Infrastructure — server logs are used for debugging and security monitoring only.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the site:
- Plausible Analytics (plausible.io) — EU-hosted, cookieless analytics. Data is processed under Plausible's privacy policy. No personal data leaves the EU.
- Email service provider — used to deliver newsletter issues to subscribers. Your email address is stored with this provider for the duration of your subscription.
- Hosting provider — the infrastructure running this site retains standard server access logs in accordance with their own data retention policies.
We do not embed third-party social widgets, video players, or advertising scripts that would track you across the web.
Data Retention
- Newsletter subscriptions — your email address is retained until you unsubscribe, plus a maximum of 30 days following unsubscription to allow for processing.
- Contact and consultation submissions — retained for up to 1 year from the date of submission, then deleted.
- Plausible analytics data — retained for 90 days on a rolling basis.
- Server access logs — retained for the period set by our hosting provider, typically 30–90 days.
Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law (including GDPR for EU/EEA residents and CCPA for California residents), you may have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected.
- Deletion — request that your data be deleted ("right to be forgotten").
- Unsubscribe — opt out of the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us directly.
- Data export — request a portable copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at founder@generativeui.ru. We will respond within 30 days.
Security
This site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Data submitted through forms is transmitted using TLS encryption. We apply the principle of minimal data collection — the less data we hold, the less there is to protect or expose.
No security measure is perfect. If you become aware of a security concern related to this site, please contact us at founder@generativeui.ru.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, we will notify newsletter subscribers in the next issue and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Minor changes (such as clarifications or formatting) may be made without notification.
